Welcome Danny van Schie to Gasfin

We’re thrilled to announce that Danny van Schie joins us as Managing Director of Gasfin Services! In this role, he will lead our collaboration with DET Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH (DET), overseeing the operations, maintenance, and commercial management of DET’s LNG FSRU terminals in Germany.

Danny comes to us with over 30 years of experience in the oil, gas, and chemical sectors, including significant roles in LNG (FLNG / FSRU / small‑scale), LPG, and synthesis gas projects. An accomplished chemical engineer (Fellow, IChemE), he has led teams on both technical and commercial fronts across greenfield and brownfield developments, as well as gas processing and conditioning projects around the globe.

Notably, Danny held leadership positions at Avenir LNG and as Managing Director of Elbehafen LNG GmbH & Projects Director with RWE, where he oversaw FSRU project development and operations, earning recognition for his contributions to Europe’s LNG infrastructure.

With such broad industry expertise and a proven track record, Danny will significantly strengthen our ability to deliver critical energy infrastructure with excellence, safety, and reliability.
